With this initiative helping to inspire tomorrow's audiences and the Competition helping to launch young artists' careers, Coleman actively fosters the future of chamber music while it celebrates its past and present.

The Meet the Musicians artist for the 07/08 season will be the North Wind Quintet, a Los Angeles-based performing ensemble dedicated to developing new audience awareness for chamber music and the performing arts. Members of this talented ensemble have performed individually with symphony orchestras and have taught on the faculties of university music departments, but their greatest love is woodwind chamber music. Members include Patricia Cloud Kaufmann, flute; Jonathan Davis, oboe, Lawrence Hughes, clarinet; Nathan Campbell, horn; and Jenice Rosen, bassoon.
